BIKE

“You never forget … it’s just like riding a bike.”  The bike leg is usually the longest part of any triathlon and you’ll want to spend plenty of time  in the saddle to be ready.  However, it’s so easy to fit cycling into your schedule, from leisurely scenic weekend rides, to social group rides, and even commuting to work.

Starting out with cycling:

You don’t need an expensive bike to get started.  Any regular road bike will work just fine.  My best advice is to visit your local bike shop and get a professional bike fit.  Not only will they help you select the right bike, but a professional fit will be your best defense against injury and discomfort on the road.
